Winter Wonderland family photos with the Silzers and the Bayfords

The last two photoshoots I did with the Bayford family and the Silzer family proved that winter can be the perfect time for family photos! Kids love the snow, and since they don't move very fast in their puffy snow suits, it can really help when it comes to the portrait shots! ;)

I love the contrastiness that occurs (is that a word?) with a snowy backdrop. Both of these photoshoots took place in the families' own backyards.

Misty, Jason, Abby, Cole and I spent a beautiful November morning in Rutland's gem, Chichester Wetland Park. I think we caught one of the last gorgeous fall days before the cold (and snow) hit!

Call us a couple of sun-chasers! Aaron and I set out to Lake Country for his character portrait session on a beautiful sunny October day...only for the sun to disappear behind clouds the moment we arrived! No worries, we were determined to catch the sun and so agreed to meet again. We found the sun again, this time a few days later in Rutland's secret gem, Chichester Wetland Park. Aaron knew exactly what he wanted...autumn landscapes with sun rays highlighting the colourful beauty of fall leaves. He is currently creating his image as a singer/songwriter and will use these photos for his newest CD, as well as in his promotional branding and website. Here are a few of my faves.

 
 

 

Amanda Mutter and kids -family photo session

Amanda, Korban and Aeron and I spent a lovely fall afternoon at Mission Creek Park, taking photos and watching the fat, pink salmon make their way up the creek. Aeron loved all the fallen leaves! Korban had fun directing us through the myriad of trails!
